There is Nothing New Under the (LA) Sun

This work commemorates my first time working in Los Angeles. I knew I wanted to create a work that captured the many colors of the flute and harp, while paying homage to the music culture of LA. To honor this musical tradition, I took two quotations from LA music and developed them throughout the work. Listen out for “Lovely” by Billie Eilish and “Wouldn’t it be nice” by The Beach Boys
