Zappa Class

As a multi-genre composer and instrumentalist myself, I resonate deeply with Zappa’s mission to bridge the divide between rock and classical music. In 2025, I had the life-altering experience of performing Zappa’s music across Europe, playing lead keys with his original band members. 

I hope that these arrangements will provide that critical entry point for many people who wouldn't naturally feel at home in classical music, bringing two musical communities together and creating spaces for people from many different walks of life to enjoy as one. 

Zappa Class is a project that aims to introduce chamber music audiences to the genre-defying music of Frank Zappa, through the creation of new arrangements, recordings, and concerts. My goal is to find creative ways to reproduce electronic sounds with acoustic instrumental technique, while providing a familiar idiom both to Zappa and classical music audiences.
